Dr. Bill Johnson’s Innovations MedSpa Conducting Clinical Research on Thermage MultiPlex Tip for Use with Thermage DC Body Contouring Procedure

New tip means procedure takes substantially less time and patients experience less pain

May 30, 2008 — Dallas, Tx
Dr. Bill Johnson’s Innovations MedSpa, a leader in the medspa industry that offers many of the latest innovative treatments in the U.S., announced it will be conducting clinical trials for Thermage MultiPlex Tip, a tip advancement on Thermage DC (Deep Contour), a new body shaping procedure. The clinical research will involve 10 patients over 180 days.

Thermage DC helps tighten, firm and shape the body in a single treatment without surgery, injections— and all with little or no downtime. Thermage DC heats 79% deeper than the original Thermage for increased collagen tightening in the subcutaneous layer of the skin for the abdomen, “love handles,” thighs, buttocks and arm areas. The treatment is ideal for patients who are not significantly overweight but want deep tightening of sagging skin and reduction of unwanted bulges.

The Themage DC treatment typically takes five hours, depending on area treated, but with the new MultiPlex tip, the procedure will now take about 45 minutes and will mean less pain for patients.

“The Thermage DC treatment has been so popular and effective with patients—we are obviously thrilled that this new advancement will give them faster results,” said Dr. Johnson, owner of Innovations MedSpa.

Pricing

Once the trials are complete, the Thermage DC treatments with the new MulitPlex Tip cost approximately $4,000. Innovations MedSpa is currently taking pre-booking from patients who would like to be on a waiting list for the procedure.
